Privacy Policy for Audio Mediet Toolkit

About this policy

This policy describes how Audio Mediet Toolkit, provided by VEB LAIF PP, handles information. Privacy contact: info@veblaif.online. It reflects the application source and product information reviewed for this draft.

Audio and information accessed

The app requests microphone permission when you choose to record. It captures microphone audio to create recordings on your device. Recording stops when the app leaves the screen. You can deny or revoke microphone permission in Android settings.

When you import audio, the app uses Android’s file picker to access the file you select and copies it into its private storage. It does not request broad access to your device’s audio library. A document provider you choose may retrieve files from cloud storage under that provider’s own practices.

The app stores recordings, imported audio, edited copies, file names, favorites, and audio details such as duration, file size, format, date, sample rate, channels, bitrate, and codec when available. Saved editing projects contain a project name, a reference to the source audio, trim points, volume settings, and a date. Recording sample rate and preferred output format are also stored locally.

How information is used

The app uses this information to record, play, display waveforms, trim, adjust export volume, convert audio, organize your library, and restore saved editing projects and preferences. Editing and conversion create new files while preserving the source audio.

Temporary decoded and edited audio files are created in the app’s cache for processing. The app attempts to delete these temporary files after processing. An unfinished recording may remain locally so it can be recovered and saved after an interruption.

Collection and network use

The reviewed implementation processes audio on your device. It does not implement an account system, developer-operated audio upload service, analytics reporting, or remote crash reporting. No automatic transmission of recordings, projects, or library metadata to VEB LAIF PP was identified.

The app has Internet permission and includes a WebView for displaying a configured terms and privacy page. The reviewed startup path opens the audio interface directly. If a web page is loaded, network requests can disclose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, to the destination. The reviewed materials do not establish that destination’s collection or retention practices. Audio processing itself does not require an upload.

Sharing and third-party components

When you choose Share, the app gives your selected compatible app read access to the selected audio file. The receiving app can access the audio, its displayed file name, and file size. When you choose Export, the app writes a copy to the destination you select through Android’s file dialog. Selected apps or destinations may send or store that copy online according to their own policies.

No advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK was identified in the reviewed dependencies or source. The Android manifest declares advertising ID permission, but the reviewed code does not read or transmit an advertising ID or display advertisements. A permission declaration alone does not establish collection.

The app uses Android platform services and AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin components for its interface, file access, and audio processing. No developer-directed sharing with advertising or analytics providers was identified.

Device backups

Android backup is enabled in the app configuration. Depending on your device, operating system, and backup settings, app files and preferences may be included in system-managed backup or device transfer. Those processes are controlled by your platform or backup provider and may involve storage outside your device.

Security

Audio files are stored in the app’s private internal storage, and library information, projects, and preferences are stored in private app preferences. Sharing uses a read-only content provider with access granted through Android’s sharing mechanism.

The reviewed code does not implement additional app-level encryption for stored audio. It does not establish the encryption practices of external sharing apps, document providers, or backup services. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed secure.

Retention and deletion

Saved audio, projects, and preferences remain locally until you remove them or clear the app’s data. No automatic expiration period is implemented for saved content.

You can delete audio from the library and remove saved projects using Remove draft. Deleting a source audio file does not automatically remove its saved project settings; the project may remain with an unavailable source until you remove it or reconnect it to audio. Removing a project does not delete its source audio.

Clearing the app’s storage through Android settings or uninstalling the app ordinarily removes its local private data. Copies you imported from elsewhere, exported, shared, or retained in system backups are separate and must be managed through the relevant location or provider.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact info@veblaif.online. No remote deletion service is implemented, and VEB LAIF PP cannot directly erase files held only on your device or copies controlled by other apps and providers. No deletion response period is established in the reviewed materials.

Children’s privacy

The supplied information does not specify an intended age group. The reviewed app has no account registration, age collection, or developer-operated collection service for children’s information. Audio may contain personal information about children or other people, so consider its contents before sharing or exporting it. Questions about a child’s information can be directed to the privacy contact below.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its data practices. Review the version provided with the app or its listing for updates. The reviewed implementation does not establish a separate notification process for policy changes.
